This type involves cutting the genuine center pipe and replacing only the rear section. (There is a recessed mark on the genuine pipe to indicate the cutting point.) For the vacuum hose, simply attach the included hose to the genuine hose and connect. While the F-series M3/M4 uses an electric motor type genuine exhaust valve, the F10 M5 uses an actuator type. Also, instead of the "closes with negative pressure" type exhaust valve widely used in other European cars, it uses a "opens with negative pressure" type exhaust valve. ↑This is the genuine muffler on the right. The genuine main pipe diameter is already 80mm (!), but the genuine exhaust valve is for 60mm. Our muffler uses a "opens with negative pressure" exhaust valve for 76mm and exhausts straight out to the outer tail end. When the valve is open: exhaust comes out of all four tails. When the valve is closed: exhaust comes out of the two inner tails. The tail end has a double structure with an outer diameter of 89mm and an inner diameter of 80mm to suppress discoloration due to heat and maintain a beautiful appearance.
