The Paddle Shifter RZ is the top-of-the-line version of the Night Pager paddle shifter series. You won't find another paddle shifter with this many adjustment mechanisms. This product covers everything from city riding to circuit racing, and we paid close attention to the rigidity of each part, and the lever click uses a magnetic type for a superior feel.
The paddle levers are angle-adjustable to suit the steering wheel and hand size. Lever adjustment: 305mm-280mm (12.5mm on each side)
When the paddle levers are fully extended on a φ350 steering wheel, the distance between the levers will be 305mm.
When the paddle levers are retracted to their smallest position on a φ350 steering wheel, the distance between the levers will be 280mm.
For deep-cone steering wheels, the lever can be extended by using the separately sold "extension kit".
With an 80mm deep-cone steering wheel, the lever offset position can be adjusted using an extension kit.
Our paddle shifters are sold as general-purpose products, so basically all models require wiring modifications for installation. Wiring modifications require a certain level of expertise and tools such as an electrical tester and soldering iron.
Paddle Shifter RZ is used by sandwiching it between the boss and the steering wheel. The plate thickness is 5mm, but as a basic feature, clearance adjustments for the steering wheel and turn signal lever are made by using a boss spacer or similar.
For vehicles with sport shift (shift lever for up and down gears) or column shift (such as the Lancer Evo X and R35 GT-R), it is possible to use the "contact slip ring" inside the steering column, which is an electrical contact connecting the steering wheel to the vehicle body, but the wiring will need to be made by the installer. In some vehicles, it may be possible to connect using the airbag wiring, etc.
Cannot be installed on the original steering wheel. The original steering wheel is basically a type that is fixed in one place in the center. To install the paddle shifter, a steering wheel that is fixed in six places with M5 screws is required separately. * Depending on the vehicle, additional electrical circuits may be required, so the price may change. * A boss and steering wheel are required separately for installation. * Depending on the vehicle, wiring modification may be required for installation.
