| Product Description | Opening temperature: 78 degrees Celsius Fully open temperature: 88 degrees Celsius Fully open lift: 8mm At R's Racing Service, we developed the Middle Temperature Thermostat based on the know-how gained from numerous driving tests and the results of many tests on products such as the RRP Turbine Kit and Super ECU. With conventional low-temperature thermostats (those that start at around 65 degrees Celsius), it's possible that the engine's full potential isn't being realized in many cases. When using a low-temperature thermostat, the temperature drops too low during normal driving, leading to power loss and decreased fuel efficiency, and sometimes resulting in an inexplicable decrease in power and responsiveness. If the water temperature drops below 80 degrees Celsius, the computer may mistakenly think the engine is cold, causing variable valve timing and electronic throttles to malfunction and throttling, thus reducing engine performance. Engine performance can decrease without you even realizing it. Too low a water temperature is definitely not good. However, if the temperature is too high, it can overheat and put a strain on the engine, so it's best to keep the water temperature at the appropriate level. That's where the middle-temperature thermostat comes in. By using this thermostat, you can consistently maintain the engine temperature between 80 and 95 degrees Celsius, which is the temperature at which the engine performs best, allowing you to use it with peace of mind. |
